Plants harvested at the time when the useful ingredients are at their peak are dried until the ingredients are concentrated, and the ingredients are extracted with subterranean water drawn from 200 m below the ground from Mt. This "soak herbal water," a proprietary ingredient of Hokuroku Sosui, is a skin conditioning ingredient that harnesses the power of plants such as sweet tea vine, which keeps skin fresh, and the present evidence of polyphenol-rich ingredients that lead to resilient skin.
Peach juice fermentation liquid, made from peaches harvested in Yamanashi Prefecture, is a moisturizing ingredient that uses fermentation technology. It is a cosmetic ingredient obtained by fermenting the juice pressed from peaches that cannot be shipped as fruit and vegetables with a yeast bacteria called Lipomyces. The main ingredient is polysaccharide, which is a series of monosaccharides called mannose, galactose, and glucuronic acid. Polysaccharides bind strongly to moisture and have excellent moisturizing properties. After one month of use of lotion containing peach juice fermentation liquid, skin texture was improved and moisture content increased. Deep Moist Lotion contains plenty of peach juice fermentation liquid to increase the moisture content in the stratum corneum.
Sake, which is made through the power of fermentation, is also included as a moisturizing ingredient.
