This original soap dish is made in the Koishiwara ceramic tradition in Toho Village, Fukuoka Prefecture. The traditional method of creating a pattern uses a brush to create brush marks and a springy metal plane (kanna) to lightly cut the traditional patterns known as tobikanna that we used. Please use this item, with its heart-warming atmosphere and carefully handed down materials, in your daily life.

Precautions for use
Drain well before placing the soap on it. Please handle with care as it is ceramic and may break. The color may change over time due to its water absorbency, but please enjoy the texture as a characteristic of Koishiwara-yaki. Because it is handmade, the color shade, pattern, shape, etc. may vary slightly.
