Hokuroku Sousui
Akamatsu leaf and sea salt for the bath
We combined Akamatsu leaf and cedar, which refine skin texture, with salt for additional refinement and baking soda for cleansing action. The clear, crisp fragrance is reminiscent of a breeze wafting through a deep forest.
Red pine is an evergreen tree that has been popular throughout Japan. Its leaves are characterized by their refreshing fragrance, which is produced by the alpha-pinene contained in the leaves. It has been used since ancient times as a pine bath where the leaves are floated in hot water, and is known as a plant that keeps the skin healthy during bathing.
Japanese cedar trunk: Skin toning
Cedar is one of Japan's representative coniferous trees. Its wood contains cedrol and has a mild forest-like aroma.
Sodium chloride: Skin toning
Has astringent properties and tightens the skin to improve texture. It prevents the body's heat from dissipating, and is said to be highly effective in retaining heat after bathing.
Sodium bicarbonate: Skin toning
Also known as "baking soda," this ingredient is also found in hot springs. Its mildly alkaline properties remove dirt and dead skin cells from pores, leaving the skin smooth and toned.
