Amino acid cleansing milks remove makeup while moisturizing the skin, so their cleansing power is mild. They may struggle to remove not only waterproof or oil-rich eye makeup but also products like liquid foundation.
We recommend using a dedicated cleanser for waterproof or oil-rich makeup.
For liquid or cream foundations—or even powder foundations that adhere firmly to the skin—dispense 2 to 3 pumps into your hand and gently spread the product over your entire face, blending it with your makeup.
Gently blend the product into your makeup using your fingertips, making small circular motions over areas like the sides of the nose and the eye area. After rinsing with lukewarm water, follow up with a second cleanse using one of the three amino acid-based facial cleansers to leave your skin feeling thoroughly clean and refreshed.
Amino acid cleansing milk can also be used as a facial cleanser. Even when you aren't wearing makeup, oxidized sebum and oily impurities from the air can accumulate on your skin's surface. While water alone cannot remove these impurities, amino acid cleansing milk washes them away while keeping the skin moisturized. It is highly recommended for cleansing when you aren't wearing makeup—such as for your morning wash or on days when you have only applied sunscreen.
Among Matsuyama Kushi's products, the Leaf & Botanics " Cleansing Calendula " offers the most superior cleansing power. It is an oil-based cleanser that easily dissolves makeup and can be used with wet hands. We highly recommend using it after wearing a full face of makeup.
