On Monday,April15, 2024, REES:PRODUCTS will launch a new body soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
The body soap and shampoo contain bamboo charcoal powder to absorb excess sebum, while the conditioner contains bamboo vinegar solution to condition hair.
The body soap is rich in lather and rinses cleanly without leaving a sticky residue on the skin. The shampoo's fine lather reduces friction when washing hair and gently cleanses it. The conditioner repairs hair damage caused by coloring and UV rays, leaving hair moist and manageable. Two types of natural essential oils, lemon and eucalyptus, have been blended to create a refreshing and invigorating scent.
The raw materials for both the bamboo charcoal and bamboo vinegar solution are bamboo harvested from abandoned bamboo groves in Anan City, Tokushima Prefecture.
Abandoned bamboo groves are now a problem throughout Japan. Bamboo forests that are not well cared for due to a lack of manpower are growing at an alarming rate, encroaching on forests and satoyama, and affecting the ecosystem. Bamboo is also a disaster prevention risk because its shallow-rooted nature makes it prone to collapse in strong winds. On the other hand, if properly managed, they can be useful, including in the landscape. This is why we commercialized Leeds Products' body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. We aim to bring this issue to the attention of our customers.
